A clean record doesn't excuse your current misconduct. A clean record means the officer found no wants or warrants for you and no interview advisories. Had you not had a "clean record" they would have arrested you on whatever outstanding charges you might have had.

You have two options:

1) You can pay the ticket.
2) Youcan ask for a court date and hope the officer is too busy to show up. If the officer is a "no show," the judge will dismiss the violation.

Stop walking between subway cars. Yes, it's illegal even if the train is stopped. Or, if you continue doing it, stop whining about being ticketed.
