I could be very uncomfortable in a car at a given temperature, and you could think it's just fine.Yes, but suppose that X knows that temperature was quite comfortable. X testifies otherwise since X believes that his testimony can't be refuted or even verified. And obviously it's not high stakes - it's a case about a $75 ticket in an administrative process. The city should just save the money on paying hearing officers and all the rest of the process by offering a 50% discount on fines if you pay promptly without contesting it. |
