No, that is NOT why the rule was created. Did you not read SubChat back when this rule was created? It was made pretty clear the the prevailing opinion is that the NYCT lawyers pushed for this rule in order to help protect them from future lawsuit, and it has NOTHING to do with protecting people from injury. In the last like 9 years or something, like 75% of the cases of people dying were people doing bad things between cars, not just walking between cars. |
