Unfortunately Point Xers support human slavery, female genital mutilation, poor sanitation, refuses to learn English, eats dogs and cats, and other ills not tolerated in this country, yet there are those who support immigrants' "rights" not to assimilate into our culture.

I'm not sure it's fair to say this about all immigrants, but let's just talk about those who are like you describe. They might not assimilate, but you can bet their kids will, no matter how much this may disappoint their parents.
