I don't know if my upset with immigrants who don't learn English is "offense" or merely my guarding my pockets against a government and society all too eager to accommodate those who don't accommodate themselves.Do I take, on a whole, those who don't learn English in our country as a slight? Yes. It's offensive only in that our unofficially official language is English and not learning it borders on disrespect for a country you chose to immigrate to. And once again, this is simply my take on the matter. |
