OK, you have a point about whether or not bilingual education is cost-effective.I want to be careful what I say here since my wife is a bilingual teacher, but even when bilingual education doesn't work, procreation does. Linguists tell us that the children of immigrants almost always learn English, even if their parents don't. What's more, the grandchildren of immigrants almost always speak only English. Mark |
