On the contrary— I gave them ample opportunity to retract or clarify their absurd statements and they doubled down every time. If Dave admits that he's just doing some performing art thing or that his offensive posts are satirical, I'd go right back to assuming he's a basically decent person (unless he proves otherwise again).

I said that I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt— not that I ignore the plain facts once all such doubt has been dispelled.

Dig up the immigration thread— GP Chris is barely even literate, and I was willing to treat him like an adult up until he started screaming: "IF YOU OPPOSE ANY LAW YOU THINK ALL LAWS ARE INVALID AND CONTRADICTING ME MEANS YOU'RE AN ASSHOLE!"
