She absolutely can.She can get the regular Old Age SS (OASI) that she is entitled to upon reaching the age of 62 assuming that she has contributed 40 quarters during her working career. It would not be the full amount that she would get at 66 but it's still more than SSD. Fire your attorneys. You or her can go to the SSA website right now (and put her SSN) and it will say how much she would get at 62. I hope your wife will be OK. |
