That depends (didn't see the video). A govt official is allowed to believe in a religion, and is allowed to make judgements based on his beliefs. If I understand it correctly, the line that must not be crossed is using your govt position to force other people to follow your more religious beliefs. Being the steward of the Earth and helping your fellow man is religiously fuzzy at best. And is Kerry actually trying to make creation myth in Genesis the official govt position?
