I agree with you that it has no place in US government but we part company on exactly what is said. I strongly disagree with Kerry in his statement that God created the earth but it doesn't outrage me like it would if he added "and evolution is bullshit" or something like that. Likewise if a rightie politician states that he believes in the 10 commandments. Fine. If he adds "and we need to display them on all public buildings" then I'm outraged.But we do agree that it's best to just keep God out of government. your pal, Fred |
