Because one is using religion is restrict a group's (arguably) basic freedom, another one is using it promote environmentalism. To put it more simply, one person is using it constructively, the other is using it destructively. I'll have to agree with AlM and say that for Kerry to bring it up as a religious matter is not that good, particularly if he makes it sound like that's how govt policy is determined. Otherwise, I don't see anything wrong with believing in God, it's what he gets out of that belief that concerns me.
