When they give NEC stats, they roll in the commuter lines that use the track, so you end up with around 2200 trains a day. 800,000 is not a stretch when you factor that in....I'd bet VRE,MARC,NJT, and SEPTA move the majority of the passengers on the NEC tracks. |
