Well, the Brighton Beach branch is called the subway despite most of it being either in a ditch, on an embankment, or elevated structure, but in Chicago, several L routes run through tunnels and in expressway medians. Is such a route an elevated?I use the term trip because I learned the meaning by reading transit agency documents. As with many other aspects of RRs, "civilian" vocabulary becomes re-purposed as "in the trade" jargon, I mean, what the heck is a "home ball"? |
