The Montreal set (Adirondack) cannot be one to cycle through GCT - it has unique equipment that makes it unsuitable to be anything other than the Adirondack (no business class, some Amfleet IIs, full cafe). The Maple Leaf usually has some Amfleet IIs but it can run with a standard Empire Corridor set in a pinch. That said it arrives in NYC too late to become one of the later outbound trains. If there are to be 3 trains, I would hazard a guess, the GCT trains would be: 284 going out as 241 292(sat)/256(sun)/242(wd) going out as 243(wd)/259(we) 244 going out as 245(wd)/261(we) There's no big problem if 284 and 291 come in with food service, just keep the consist plugged in so the freezer runs and they can deal w/it back in Albany. If for whatever reason it is a problem, they can end food service at Albany. When the Ethan Allen is late they don't restock anyway... |
