It effectively reverses many of the cost savings from consolidating the trains to NYP, but these are needed repairs and both Governors are pressuring Amtrak to just get it done.As for ticketing, if this is anything like the switch replacement they will likely add in GCT as a station option for those trains. Choosing NYP would through ticket you to a bus. Now that people can print tickets at home / display on cell phones the lack of ticketing facilities is less of a big deal. A bigger concern is the lack of beer facilities - NYP has a cornucopia, whereas there's one overpriced store in GCT *sadness*. |
