You, unfortunaletly have no concept of what's going on in the world regarding international terrorism. The terrorists didn't attack us for the first time on 9/11. Religious zealot fanatics from that part of the world have been attacking us for decades. Even the darling of the left, the late Yassir Arafat was a terrorist who attacked US interests by hijacking US airliners and blowing them up. They don't only hate democrats. They don't only hate republicans. They don't only hate liberals or conservatives. They hate the idea of freedom. They are intollerant towards anyone elses way of life. They are so fanatical that in the name of Allah they will kill anyone who disagrees with islam. Just ask Salmon Rushdie about that. They hate us because our way of life has crept into their cesspool existances. Our movies, our franchises and our technology threaten to loosen the grip they maintain over their mindless masses. DO you really think when those malignant savages flew their planes into the WTC they gave a shit about how many republicans vs democrats they were going to kill. They hate you as much as they hate me. The difference is you are too niave to understand that.

Once again you are incorrect. Not to worry though as I will try to set you straight. It was the democrats who got us into Viet Nam, remember? Kennedy sent advisors. After Johnson took office and after something called the "Gulf of Tonkin resolution", we ended up fighting a full scale but undeclared war. Not to worry though. Richard Nixon pulled the troops out.

By the way, perhaps you should do some reading and find out what caused Japan to attack Pearl Harbor. There are two sides to every story. Franklin Democrat Roosevelt wanted Japan to attack the US so the US's entry into WW II could be legitimized.

WRONG! More people died during the attacks on the WTC on 9/11 than died at Pearl Harbor. The economic damage was also incomparible. If you think this is not a war only because the other side wears no uniform, then you need to change your definition of war.

So? The Provisional IRA killed more people in its 25 year spell of criminal activity than the Argentines killed in the Falklands War. There was no doubt that the terrorists were criminals, and people were tried and sent to gaol for those crimes. The terrorists themseleves claimed the dignity of fighting a war - allowing terrorists that dignity is playing right into their hands. They are common criminals and should be prosecuted according to their crimes; if they are found guilty of murder, they should be hanged.

Hardly the same thing. There is some commonality of culture between the British and Irish. The Irish want complete autonomy from the British. Give them what they want and it all goes away.

The Extremist Muslims that have targetted the West (Not just the US) are fighting a war over culture. They do not want autonomy nor do they tollerate other cultures. They want to destroy anything that is not a Muslim theocracy - period. If you doubt that this will be a war to the death, you have no understanding of their mentality (puny as it is)>

Fine for people who have a decent I.Q, they can go back to school as I am doing but the average American has nothing to look forward to is a minimum wage job at WAL*MART. The sad thing is that the average car produced in the US must be priced approximately $1,000 more than the price of that same car produced in Canada. This is after taking currancy differences into account. The difference is due ONLY to the cost of medical benifits.

Now let's face it, John. When you walk into that dealership and want your Dodge Hemi, when you see that $1,000 savings, you really don't care that the car was built north of the border. (incidently, both of my Japanese motorcycles were built in Marysville, Ohio).

It is interesting to note that many brands which are identified as "American" (ex.Dodge trucks) are actually produced elsewhere, while traditionally "foreign" brands (ex. Honda motorcycles) actually have substantial American content. However, I beleive that the engines on those motorcycles is still made in mother Japan. Either way, it is hoped that America can maintain a high enough standard of living to justify this badly needed foreign investment. I am not optomistic.
