The Provisional IRA killed more people in its 25 year spell of criminal activity than the Argentines killed in the Falklands War. There was no doubt that the terrorists were criminals, and people were tried and sent to gaol for those crimes. The terrorists themseleves claimed the dignity of fighting a war - allowing terrorists that dignity is playing right into their hands. They are common criminals and should be prosecuted according to their crimes; if they are found guilty of murder, they should be hanged. |
