I don't think they look the same at all. I think what was done to make them classic but different was superb. |

IMHO 57th St-7th Ave. should be renamed, 57th St.-Carnegie Hall. Heck, Carnegie Hall was already there when that line opened. Lincoln Center OTOH didn't even exist when the original Contract One line opened. |

Personally, I don't think it's all that bad of a design....if it was used on let's say the Second Ave subway when it was built, as it would reflect the style at the time they built the line. But I hate the fact it covers all the mosaics. A station or two like Union wouldn't be all that bad to save. |

No. You said: "I'm all for rennovating, and even removing the existing walls. But if this will result in stations that will essentially be replicas of each other (just with different words in the middle of those mosaics), then what's the point."I showed how the current classic renovations are not replicas of each other and as such, do not meet your criteria of what you don't like. If you're going to introduce even more stringent criteria now, just come out and say it. |

Historians, and average people also like the result such as the renovations on Broadway. Ask the majority of average passengers if they like Rector St better or 23rd St, Prince, 8th, etc better, and you will get an overall majority choosing 23rd, 28th, etc. This is WAY beyond "railfans". |

There's no reason that old fashioned ceramic tile can't be colored. In fact, at some stations it is.That said, having alternating swaths of large white and blue (or yellow or red or whatever) tiles doesn't do it for me.
