"My father used to refer ENY and Bed-Stuy as "Dresden, after the war". "Did your father know that this was caused by landlords who gave up on their buildings and the neighborhoods that their building were in and decided to burn them down to collect the insurance money and make the less fortunate homeles.......but some of this can be also traced to the destruction of the neighborhood caused by the building of the Robert Mose's Cross Bronx Expwy. |
