I used to go to the Rockaways from 1956-1962. My great-aunt lived in Highland Park, Brooklyn and had a summer home in Broad Channel. We used to take the "A" or "E" to the peninsula, especially to the beach in Rockaway Park.When I went back, 20 years later, I was dismayed to see what had happened in certain areas. |
