If I'm not mistaken it never stopped there. It was a good block away with no passageway. Think of how far the IND is from the Jamaica & Canarsie Lines presently. You have a mezzanine on both sides of the long escalator. There was a transfer to the Canarsie Line and some Broadway trains at Atlantic Avenue.
