I didn't start riding the subway without parental supervision till I started high school in1958. During the summer of 1958, I remember riding the short lived "Rockaway Special" and the portion of the Fulton St el immediately west of 80/Hudson St was still standing and it was sometime after that I remember seeing the Rockaway Av structure still up. |
