And the upper photo is dated 1953. Which is in no way inconsistent with the service pattern described in Mr. Bauman's post.

The second picture shows the ironwork for a Fulton El that never stopped at Broadway Junction. It curves away from the station!

This is such common knowledge that only annoying know-it-all would think of disputing it.
