You'd hear of him if you subsribed to the daily fax/email blast from the GOP. And on the plus side, you'd get bullet points on exactly what to say too. Those Duke Cunningham sex parties sounded legandary. Guess he wasn't as reserved as Foley, and the parties were probably not as good as the guy who had to embarrassingly resign from the race in Illinois. That's only because the Republicans have memories that are only slightly shorter than the dummycrats. Let's warp back to 1993 when Janet Reno fired 92 of the 93 US attorneys. Can you honestly say that you believe that, John. Just look at what she's tried to force down this country's throat under the guise of "the most ethical and honest congress in history".[1] Jack Murtha who turned down $50,000 during AbScam and was caught on tape refusing the money until he knew them better. [2] Alcee Hastings - who she was pressured to withdraw from consideration because of the brewing 'shit-storm' that would have come. [3] William "Cold-Cash" Jefferson appointed as a committee member when he should have been forced to resign. Nancy Pelosi is thhe head of a government sanctioned criminal enterprise. If you do not recognize that then I'm significantly disappointed. |

You want good factory jobs for schlubs who could barely graduate from high school? High tech products from high tech factories require skilled high tech employees. One of the root problems in this country is the failure of the school system. They function like a transit authority. Train can't make the station on time, so change the timetable. Hello. A passing grade is a passing grade given for work done correctly, neatly, and with thought and insight into the issues at hand. A failing grade means you don't know jack and should find a job sweeping floors. (Digging a ditch is now high tech, sorry.) There seems to be an epidemic of very short and selective memory here.If the US attornies serve at the pleasure of the President, then I see no wrong-doing here. War plants produce nothing which benefit the overall economy. If we are in an era of globalism, it is then the job of the UN to police the world. The US economy should not be expected to fund international secuity. Look at the far east. we are defending Japan an, Taiwan, and South Korea. What benefit do those countries have for the average American. Corporate benefits do not count. If we got out of the Far East, North Korea would cease to be a problem. China would crush them in 24 hours. (actually, kim jong il would get a phone call from Beijing to stanbd down and retire.) |

THIS is what Bush is ignoring -- the independnce of US attorneys once appointed. |
