War plants produce nothing which benefit the overall economy. If we are in an era of globalism, it is then the job of the UN to police the world. The US economy should not be expected to fund international secuity. Look at the far east. we are defending Japan an, Taiwan, and South Korea. What benefit do those countries have for the average American. Corporate benefits do not count. If we got out of the Far East, North Korea would cease to be a problem. China would crush them in 24 hours. (actually, kim jong il would get a phone call from Beijing to stanbd down and retire.) |
