Giuliani won't make it, unfortunately, because of his shadowy history of family and the family wing of the GOP won't stand for him. I dunno, if you get a guy who's got his head on straight during a crisis like 9/11 but his family life is crappy, then screw the family bullshit and get a guy in there who can lead under fire. Of course, this won't fly because we can only elect a saint who attends a church every Sunday. I did say 'saint' and 'church' intentionally.BTW, I think Hillary v. Giuliani won't make it, unfortunately, because of his shadowy history of family and the family wing of the GOP won't stand for him. Why do people continue to say this when polls show otherwise? Unless mob connections are dug up, GUiliani's family life is a limited liability. I can't predict what will happen when the Democrats start throwing the mud (and they will), but attacking GUiliani's family life will almost certainly lead to charges of hypocricy, given how they asserted that character doesn't matter in 1992 and 1996. It did lead to an absurd exchange on O'Reilly last week, where the chairman of the Alabama Democratic party lambasted GUiliani's lack of moral values while reminding us all that Obama and Hillary are happily married to their college sweethearts, while the chairman of the Alabama GOP asserted that none of that was relevant and that Alabama residents care more about the issues like terrorism and social security. It was funny and yet sad at the same time. |

Yea, because all the people who didn't want a big city Yankee, Kerry, is all of a sudden going to go to Guiliani, an even more cronyistic character.Double-standard? yes. Once we learn the history of the united states, I suggest a biography on Buddy Cianci, then an old truth is remembered. In the northeast, there's no difference between R's and D's. The Itanlians had to become republicans because they couldn't get a hold in the democrats. Giuliani is Kerry, but the general public will be too brainwashed to get it. But OBS, wah wah wah blah blah, you're talking about ancient history. I'm not the one who has to go Party of Lincoln or "southern" segrationist daily. The southern is in quotes because that's the next history lesson. |

No, the amendment would not prevent him from succeeding, as the 22nd Amendment governs qualification for ELECTION to the presidency, but not service. However as I've stated, the 12th amendment prevents anyone ineligible from serving as president from serving as Vice President. this is interesting because the 12th Amendment mentions SERVICE, while the 22nd Amendment mentions ELECTION. |
