OK, thanks, that's much more nuanced than David Fairthorne's supposed quote.Religion does matter in foreign policy. That can't be disputed. And his religious statements are his personal statements. I don't think it's wise to put those into a public policy speech but at least he's making clear what are his beliefs. I don't like the way he said it but I don't see any intrinsic gaffe here. |
