All the various religions claim that there is divine intervention of course, but that was also assumed by the people writing (or speaking before written) said. |

To elaborate.By some chance, a devout Jew marries a devout Catholic (unlikely if both are "devout", but say for arguments sake, that's what happened). They have a son. That boy is raised Catholic. He will believe in the Catholic faith when he is older, and that's what he will see as the truth. Turn the table. He is raised Jewish. He will believe in the Jewish faith when he is older, and that's what he will see as the truth. Same set of genes in either case. Of course their are converts to religion too, but in most of the time you will not have a Jewish convert to Christianity, or a Christian convert to Judism, at least certainly not as many as remain Jewish or Christian (or throw in Islamic too) when raised the respective religion by their parents that have ingrained all the values, laws, etc of that religion into them since born. |

I actually mentioned that most of the religions claim "Divine intervention" in the writting of the Scriptures.but that they were inspired by God, That's what the humans that wrote (or spoke) of the Scriptures claimed. That's a human claim. save the Ten Commandments which He Himself wrote. Perhaps, but a HUMAN claimed thay that is what the story was. People are easily swayed, so they take it as automatic fact. Some guy claimed there was a "Moses" that got the 10 Commandments on the mount. The same scriptures claim that Adam and Eve got screwed after eating an apple too, and told by a snake to do so. And those same two people populated the earth. Moses' story may be true, and it may not be. Again, some guy cooped up in a room wrote that, and claimed that this is the way it was. |

I would probably not set out in search of a Jewish girl, but I wouldn't rule one out if it "just happened". It's a tough decision though, as if I would follow a path like that, there would be so many things I would have to change about my life that I probably wouldn't want to change. And for her, she would also have to change a lot of things about her life that she may not want to change. Relationships are tough enough as it is, without adding that extra burden on top of it yet. |
