I'll definitly write one but want to know if any public hearings can be scheduled so that folks can express their venom against the proposed ban. I realize that no hearings are required to be held for proposed rulemaking, but I feel that we have the right to be heard. There are no hearings scheduled, and it appears to me that there is no way to force a hearing. The next public hearing will be about raising the CityTicket fare. December 6, 5pm, 347 Madison Avenue, register to speak by 7pm that day or contact Douglas Sussman, 212-878-7483. The next MTA board meeting is on December 16, 9:30am, same place. I've never been to a general meeting of the MTA board, so I don't know if they allow time for public comment. Mark |
