At this point, it's doubtful that you're a person at all— you're not posting anything that requires thought, you're just spewing up absurd insults that any bot could be programmed to.If you don't show some human thought, I'll have to ask you to prove that you are, indeed, human. |

Did you actually bother to READ the law? Here it is in it's entirety Note section 3 A: State action or an action by any person based on state action shall not burden a person's right to exercise of religion, even if the burden results from a rule of general applicability, unless it is demonstrated that applying the burden to that person's exercise of religion in that particular instance is both of the following: (i) Essential to further a compelling governmental interest; (ii) The least restrictive means of furthering that compelling governmental interest. A "compelling government interest" includes things like life, limb and personal property. A photographer can refuse his servers to a gay couple on religious grounds and they can't sue him (the issue from New Mexico that STARTED this whole mess, seriously, why make such a big fuss when you can go find another photographer), but a person CAN'T use it to justify obvious criminal behavior like killing someone. If you're a doctor, you can't refuse to treat a dying patient because of your beliefs. Though as a doctor you shouldn't be doing that anyway. Also, as noted in section 2, the belief must be held "sincerely." you can't make stuff up or use other religious beliefs without proof they were yours before and remain yours now. |

Pass a law that they need to post who they refuse to serve and let people decide if they want to support such a place. No blacks, no Jews, no gays, no women, no whatever. The government should never be allowed to discriminate. |

Pass a law that they need to post who they refuse to serve and let people decide if they want to support such a place. No blacks, no Jews, no gays, no women, no whatever. The problem is that this only works if the bigots are a smaller minority than the people they hate. The gay population is pretty much fixed at ~10% of the total population, but I'd be willing to bet that more than 10% of the population is homophobic. A sign saying "no gays allowed" would attract more bigots than it turns away gay people. Plus, there's regional considerations; plenty of towns in the south have more racists than racial minorities and most businesses rely on local customers. |

Not directly, but people are subject to a wide range of social pressures. A law that hints (or says) that you can deny service to black people bolsters the cultural understanding that racism is normal and being a racist is socially acceptable, which in turn makes people more inclined to nullify when a white man kills a black man. |

That said, "racists" have nothing to do with gays. Being Gay is NOT a race. So all this talk about "racists and racist minorities is completely irrelevant to gays. Perhaps you mean bigots. Before these crazy laws the number of gays being turned away was very small for a country of 300 million people. I'm not for gay marriage so I probably fit your definition of homophobic and if I owned a business I couldn't care less about the sexual orientation of the person buying whatever I'm selling.I wonder if any subchatters have ever been refused service because of their sexual orientation and if so how it ever became an issue in the first place. |
