News makes Brentwood out to be a lot worse than it is. I went to school there for four years and always felt safe. Unfortunately, this stigma attached to Brentwood is one reasons why my high school there is now closing, because the rich parents didn't want send their kids to Brentwood.

Hell, some four-year-old shot me with a BB gun walking home from Islip train station two years after my town was named the safest in the US by Money magazine.

Spota just arrested 100 in a herion bust, many from tonier parts of town. A Blood was just arrested in East Islip.
