Why take responsibility for your own actions when your own government is prepared to bail you out?No one ever bailed me out! Irresponsible credit card spending? Declare bankruptcy. Or if you irresponsibly chose to get sick and require a hospital stay. Something like 2/3 of all bankruptcies are for medical expenses. Honestly, have you ever been through bankruptcy? I somehow doubt that it's pleasant, and you'll have to live with it for the rest of your life. Deposited your money in an irresponsible bank without paying attention to their lending practices? Hold on, are you really opposed to FDIC insurance? I mean, I know you're a right-wing nut, but can you really be that ridiculous? Do you actually support another Great Depression? Buy a house way outside your means? FDIC and TARP to the rescue. Buy a house way outside your means, it'll get foreclosed. TARP only helps the banks who lost too much on risky investments— a move supported by the right wing. Trust your money to a shady financial advisor? Give him 150 years in prison, but don't blame me. Lost your pension because someone else invested with a shady financial advisor? So now you're pro-crime? Well, I suppose blaming the victim is just an extension of your view that regular people need to take responsibility for things that they have no control over. Work at Wal Mart and you don't get medical unsurance? Give him government provided coverage, but don't question his inability to improve himself so he doesn't have to rely on a shit job to pay the bills. Someone needs to make you work at a Wal Mart, Mr. Mom. Maybe then you'll have some idea of what it means to have to work for a living. Maybe, at minimum, you'll stop thinking of union-busting economy-smashing Wal Mart as the Super Wonder Corporation. And since you oppose universal health care, I presume you support 22,000 people dying each year from preventable deaths? You're why this country is in such a mess, not people who won't take "responsibility" for being born poor. We've had three decades of conservative government and it's been a complete disaster— I think it's time for right wingers like you to sit down, shut up, and let the adults run things for awhile. |
