Are you seriously arguing that Bush and his GOP allies in Congress did NOT expand spending at a record rate? Even John Stossel dedicated the largest chapter in his book "Myths. Lies and Downright Stupidity" to the false notion that Republicans in DC have effectively reduced spending. Bush oversaw the creation of a whole new department (Homeland Security), something not seen since Carter created the DOE in the 70's. Education spending under Bush grew at the fastest pace EVER recorded, almost 50 percent!It's you who cannot process the facts. |
