This line could be a great asset if incorporated into a regional rail system. Upgrade it, rebuild it, and run frequent service with hybrid transit/commuter rail trains (think Washington Metro and BART), into Manhattan, and tied into other regional lines, for a system that fills in the gap between the subway and commuter rail. |
