Ironically, Glendale used to be electrified. Third Rail electrification extended from the Rockway Branch, onto the Montauk Branch, and to Fresh Pond. I don't know what the purpose of that was, but Glendale was definitely electrified....but of course, it didn't come via Richmond Hill, but Via the Rockaway Branch where they met.

Here's a photo I found of Glendale Station in 1938. This is looking from the Lutheran Cemetery Grade Crossing, east to Cooper Ave (you can see the cooper ave overpass stanchions in the middle of the photo)
