Why diesel service? Why not run some third rail and run frequent trains (say every 20-30 minutes or so) along the line between Jamaica and Manhattan-- Penn Station, East Side and/or Lower Manhattan.These pipe dreams should become reality. I am not suggesting them based on a foamer railfan perspective; I am proposing them from a necessity/planner perspective. |
