"A woman had been given a ticket for being on a train only minutes (they didn't say how many) after her ticket expired. The judge called it a blatant misuse of the ticketing process."Damn straight. I didn't realize you have to deboard the train once your ticket expires and get a new one. I thought tickets were for a ride, not for a certain timelength. IE, you're trip is 45 minutes. You board your first stop 20 minutes before ticket expires. LIke the old paper transfers that I believe SEPTA still uses. I have to get off halfway on my journey and reboard???? But if I'm in a city like Vancouver, where all transit uses the same ticket, and I swipe that same pass 25 minutes before expiration on a 45 minute journey, there's no problem, because I "Paid my fare" when I swiped. I see a prob with that. Congrats btw. I didn't know LA was Saudi Arabia. |
