Placing blame belongs more in the Off Topic Chat.You are blaming parents. Does society provide the time for parents to supervise their children as it used to? Until the 1970's, a single wage earner in a family could provide for the family. This permitted the other parent to supervise their children. That changed as working class incomes declined relative to the cost of living. The result was that both parents worked or suffered a drastic decline in living standards. This resulted in a decline to a total absence of parental supervision of their children's free time. As mentioned above, this is more complex than placing immediate blame. |
