And as to TD's comment about an 11 year olds. The summer I was 11 I spent a month at my grandfather's home in Chicago. That was the year I explored major parts of the L. CTA 6000s had a 'railfan' seat opposite the motorman's cab. (correct title in the early 50s) between sitting there and standing staring out the wndow in the end door, I rode all over. The deal was, be home in time for dinner. On my own,no one bothered me, and I got to experience the Garfield Park L on the at grade level as the Congress Expressway was being built.As to the lack of parental guidance, indeed Off Topic. |
