No, the amendment would not prevent him from succeeding, as the 22nd Amendment governs qualification for ELECTION to the presidency, but not service. However as I've stated, the 12th amendment prevents anyone ineligible from serving as president from serving as Vice President. this is interesting because the 12th Amendment mentions SERVICE, while the 22nd Amendment mentions ELECTION. |
