Giuliani won't make it, unfortunately, because of his shadowy history of family and the family wing of the GOP won't stand for him.

Why do people continue to say this when polls show otherwise? Unless mob connections are dug up, GUiliani's family life is a limited liability. I can't predict what will happen when the Democrats start throwing the mud (and they will), but attacking GUiliani's family life will almost certainly lead to charges of hypocricy, given how they asserted that character doesn't matter in 1992 and 1996.

It did lead to an absurd exchange on O'Reilly last week, where the chairman of the Alabama Democratic party lambasted GUiliani's lack of moral values while reminding us all that Obama and Hillary are happily married to their college sweethearts, while the chairman of the Alabama GOP asserted that none of that was relevant and that Alabama residents care more about the issues like terrorism and social security. It was funny and yet sad at the same time.
