Actually, the Bible condones abortion; it states more or less explicitly that a fetus isn't actually a person. It doesn't have anything to say on the subject of gay marriage; sure, gay (male) sex is banned as part of a long list of arbitrary laws that ban everything from clams to combining different kinds of cloth, but it never mentions gay marriage as such. No Christians seriously consider the long list of prohibitions to be valid, and Jesus himself had nothing to say on the subject of homosexuality— he was too busy hanging out with 12 guys and ignoring the advances of the one woman who tagged along. |
