No, I think you are misunderstanding what's going on here. JayMan hasn't changed anything nor has he disagreed with any of his previous posts. He stated what the studies show. The studies apparently define the average intelligence of members of various races. The studies also give other related statistics (the shape of the bell curve, the size of the standard deviations, etc.). No where did he, or anyone else called a racist in this thread, say that you should automatically judge a specific person's intelligence based on these statistics! These statistics inform you about what is likely the case for any randomly selected person or group of people within a race. However, the statistics do not and can not tell you how intelligent any one specific person will be. And thus you should not use them to judge a specific person. If you want to know some specific person's intelligence, have them take an IQ test. If you want to estimate it, then you can observe their actions, however many other factors could get in the way of you getting a good estimate. So bottom line, no where did he or any of the other people called a racist say you should belittle or demean or be prejudiced against any specific person of any specific race based on these statistics. Not only is that wrong, but it's not what the point of these statistics are! |
