Not falling for that one Olag-hai. FDR took on the Great Depression and instituted Relief, Recovery and Reform, and while there was still work to be done, two thirds of that miserable economic crash was finished when World War II came. That totally ended the GD, and with that FDR led us though WWII only to be cheated out of victory by his death in April, 1945. FDR gave us Social Security, unemployment insurance and laws to correct what was then a corrupt banking system.

I'll tell you about Truman if I get a missive from you from what I just wrote, but we are talking about a great and very near great president when talking about those two men. Sorry we disagree on that, but at least we mostly agree on politics now....I said mostly agree.
