It does have an overhead, briefcases only probably. I was mainly using the picture to illustrate a 6 across on standard gauge seating arrangement precisely to indicate that the NJT / LIRR 2x2 on 2 levels seating arrangement is, in fact, "comfortable" compared to what could happen. |

Oh, I see we agree about that 3/3! 3x2 is bad enough, better to add another train that handles the first few stops until 20% of the px get off (or on, inbound). If the train ahead is does not stop at those stations, the train spacing problem is (almost) solved. |

I could barely understand the ordering process at Kumagaya, forget about getting a green car seat:As it is I needed to go to the booth at Tokyo because the ticket wasn't letting me out... for Shinkanesen you cannot use Suica for the "outer" station and the Shinkansen ticket for the "inner" station - before boarding you must exit, re-enter the outer station using the rail fare ticket, and shove both tickets into the Shinkansen turnstile simultaneously. Reverse process for exiting. Dumb! |
