I only dug them up.
They are on Daves' site.

But, how I wish I could have been there, to see them with my own eyes.

Very very nice looking cars. The museum did a fine job bringing them back to the way they looked when they were in regular service.

I gotta ask, after seeing these great pictures of interurbans: how big a difference is there functionally between electrified commuter rail lines and interurbans? As far as I can tell, interurbans easily approach the size and appearance of MU cars, and they're capable of being coupled together into longer trains. They seem to run comparable distances as well.

Could something like NY-Boston be done these days, but using local bus routes?

IMHO California was specially targeted by the auto companies.

A balancing act between running at a fare priced to compete with competition (cars and Bus) and keep pace with Technology and labor cost.

Some had limits to the number of cars that could beMUsed.

Size , some smaller, but many equal in car length and capacity.

Demand, you must have customers going to and from your Point A & B, or where ever your tracks go.

The economy, a factor that helps determine riders. If the price of gas goes up, riders leave cars for trains.
If the price of a commuter ticket goes up to high, riders go back to their cars.
Each person has their own determining boundaries.

Lastly , the spelling, Commuter Vs Interurban.

I"m not sure I understand your question? Do you mean taking local buses, town to town with fares and transfers?

I 'm not familiar with the bus routes between Boston and NYC.

Check out the cars parked on the left. Two look like some expensive limousines.

These are photos of the Denver Tramway a narrow guage, 42" tram.

It is still interesting from a Fan point of view. I'll keep a eye on Buschat and see what follows.
