I gotta ask, after seeing these great pictures of interurbans: how big a difference is there functionally between electrified commuter rail lines and interurbans? As far as I can tell, interurbans easily approach the size and appearance of MU cars, and they're capable of being coupled together into longer trains. They seem to run comparable distances as well. |
