I was a kid delivering the Long Island Star Journal out in Woodside I saw my first R36WF comming down from 74th st to 69th st (fisk ave) on a bright sunny day. I believe it was just put in service because i noticed that the between car pantographs had no scrape marks on them.When growing up & all you saw was the drab lookin R12-14's, these 36's when they came along actually drew attention! Including from an entry level train buff auch as myself. |
