Yes, it was 9306 that was the first World's Fair car delivered (9/1963) and debuted at the Labor Day Parade that month.I remember getting off a '36 at QP to go to Astoria in 1964 & got on a Triplex. Talk about a time warp!!! In 1964 you could have also stood at QBP and seen brand new trains on both the Astoria and Flushing lines: R32 and R36s respectively. |
