I wouldn't be surprised if you mouthed off to the cops, you've already openly admitted to taunting cops. Not a smart move. One day while at my home station, I was on the end of the platform taking photos of the eastbound trains coming into the station (this was on the LIRR). A man came up, dressed in a button down shirt and pants, but no suit and stood a few feet next to me. Paying no attention that the man had stood there I continued clicking away. As the train got within 2 car lengths of the station, he said "Gonna try and take a picture of that train?" I chuckled and said "Yeah, adding it to the collection of shots". Now, when he said that, I had two choices: take it lightly and admit that I was taking photos -OR- be an asshole and say something like "what's it to you asshole?". I chose the overall more pleasant path, and we had a short chat. Turns out this guy was Ellis Simon, he's got a lot of photos on railpictures.net; his name rang a bell when he mentioned it, I like his 70s-era LIRR shots a lot. |
